Pricing

You know what you are paying before the work starts.

The figures below are starting prices · A written, fixed quote follows once the scope is clear

Why we cannot give one number

An accounting fee follows the volume of work. Two clients under the same heading can be three times apart — one keeps orderly records, the other arrives with a year of receipts in a box.

So what follows are starting prices. In the first conversation we look at your situation, settle the scope and give you a written, fixed fee. No work begins before you approve it, and nothing is added afterwards.

The one exception is where the scope genuinely cannot be known at the outset — years of accumulated IRS trouble, for instance. There we give a range, and if it looks like going above that range, we ask you before it does.

What raises the price

What costs nothing

The last step

Talking early costs nothing. Leaving it late does.

A conversation before the year closes can change what you pay in April. Held in January, the same conversation is only a diagnosis.

If a report was missed the position is clearer still: the voluntary disclosure programs can reduce penalties substantially and sometimes remove them altogether. The single condition is coming forward before the IRS contacts you. The moment an examination opens, that door closes.

In both cases the deciding factor is the same one: timing.

Free, about half an hour, and nothing follows from it — if your situation is not a fit for us, we will say that plainly too.
