Why Temiz CPA

Everything we claim can be checked.

Texas CPA license, 2009

Mustafa Temiz has held a Texas state CPA license since 2009. You can verify it without asking us, at CPAverify.org or through the Texas State Board of Public Accountancy.

IRS Certifying Acceptance Agent

For an ITIN application your passport does not have to travel to the IRS and sit there for two months. We verify your identity on the IRS's behalf — an authorization most accountants do not hold.

We represent you before the IRS

CPAs hold unlimited representation rights before the IRS. In an examination, in correspondence and in negotiation we speak for you. An unlicensed return preparer cannot do that.

Temiz CPA provided an outstanding experience from start to finish. Their process was fast and responsive — every question was answered promptly, and paperwork moved along without unnecessary delays. What stood out most was their deep knowledge of complex tax matters, including Form 1040-NR for nonresident filings and Form 5472 for foreign-owned entities. It's rare to find a firm this fluent in international tax compliance. As a bonus, they serve both English and Turkish-speaking clients, making them a great choice for the Turkish-American community. Highly recommend for anyone needing reliable, knowledgeable tax and accounting help!

I had a great experience working with Temiz CPA. They helped us with multiple LLC filings involving 3 non-resident members and 1 U.S. resident, across 4 different LLCs. They were professional, responsive, and helped make a complicated tax situation much easier to manage. I especially appreciated their patience with our questions.

The rest return to the same things: Form 1040-NR and Form 5472 work for nonresidents and foreign-owned entities, replies that come quickly, and IRS matters that ended well. Read all 113 on Google.

The question people have before they call

"There are years I never filed. If I tell you, am I putting myself in trouble?"

No. As a CPA we are under no obligation to report what you tell us to the IRS, and we have never reported a taxpayer. That confidence is the foundation of the profession.

More to the point: the voluntary disclosure programs exist for exactly this situation. The Streamlined Filing Compliance Procedures can reduce penalties substantially, and in some cases remove them, where the failure was not wilful. There is one condition — you have to come forward before the IRS contacts you. The moment an examination opens, that door closes.

The conversation itself costs you nothing. If there is an obligation you did not know about, you will find out. If there is not, you stop wondering.

Who you will be working with

The person who answers the phone is the person who prepares your return.

Mustafa Temiz began his career at a global audit firm. He completed his master's degree in accounting at the University of Texas at Dallas in 2007 and was licensed as a CPA by the state of Texas in 2009.

As a financial auditor and business consultant he worked across financial institutions, healthcare, aviation, manufacturing, telecommunications and construction. What that background is worth in practice: an auditor learns quickly where numbers tend to drift, and which explanation survives scrutiny.

The cross-border side of the practice grew through demand rather than marketing. Founders setting up U.S. companies from abroad, green card holders with accounts still open in their home country, and foreign investors holding U.S. real estate all arrived with the same problem: obligations nobody had told them about.

Services

What changes for you, not what you are buying.

The order below follows what people most often come to us for. Most clients arrive with one job and leave the rest with us over time — it all runs through the same hands.

Cross-border tax complianceForm 5472, FBAR, FATCA, 3520

You do not pay a penalty over an account, a company or a house outside the U.S.

You will know exactly which reports apply to you. Where earlier years were missed, we close them through voluntary disclosure before the IRS finds you.

Tax return preparationIndividual, corporate, 1040-NR, multi-state

April stops being the month of surprises.

Your return is filed on time and every position taken is documented. When it is questioned years later, the answer is already on file.

Entity formationLLC, corporation, EIN, registered agent

Your company is formed, and from day one you know what is due and when.

A year later you will not be saying "nobody mentioned this." Which structure, which state, and every obligation that follows are in front of you in writing before you sign.

Bookkeeping and monthly closeQuickBooks setup and monthly review

You see where the business stands every month, not at the end of the year.

Tax season stops being an excavation. No deduction you were entitled to disappears for want of a record.

PayrollForm 941, 940, W-2, state registrations

Your people are paid on time and the taxes are deposited on time.

The one tax you can be held personally liable for leaves your list of worries. We open the registrations your first hire triggers.

IRS resolutionExamination representation, penalty abatement, payment plans

You do not talk to the IRS. We do.

A letter arriving stops being a crisis. As a CPA we have the authority to speak and negotiate on your behalf; an unlicensed preparer does not.

Tax planningStructure, salary-distribution balance, timing

Your tax becomes a number you decide, rather than one you are told.

A few decisions taken before the year closes change what you pay in April. September to November is when this conversation is worth having.

ITIN applicationIRS Certifying Acceptance Agent

You get your tax identification number without your passport leaving your hands.

We verify your identity on the IRS's behalf, so your documents do not cross an ocean and wait there for months. Full detail at itincpa.com.

Services that come alongside

Registered agentYour company's official address for service of process. Renewed annually, so no official document is ever missed.
Mailing addressA U.S. mailing address for your company without you needing a physical presence here.
Texas sales taxMonthly and quarterly returns filed and paid on your behalf. Included in the fee for regular bookkeeping and payroll clients.
Plainly

What you were thinking before you called.

These are the things we are asked most often, and the things people wonder about without asking. The answers are as they are; dressing them up helps nobody.

I have no idea what this is going to cost.
Our profession has a poor record on this, so the hesitation is fair.

Once the scope is clear we give the fee in writing and fixed. No work starts before you approve it, and nothing is added afterwards.

There is one case where the scope genuinely cannot be known at the start: years of accumulated IRS trouble. There we give a range — and if it looks like going above the range, we ask you before it does.

Can a small firm handle my situation?
We are small. That is a choice, not a shortfall.

What it buys you: the person who answers the phone is the person who prepares your return. At a large firm your work usually lands with an associate, and you never find out.

Our limit, stated plainly: we do not take work that needs a team of twenty. If your situation is outside our scale we will say so in the first conversation, and point you elsewhere where we can.

I will never meet you in person.
Most of our clients have never been to the office.

We work with people in other states and outside the country. Documents come through a secure file exchange, not email — sensitive paperwork should not travel by ordinary email.

And the trust should not be one-sided: you can verify our license at CPAverify.org without asking us. We are not asking you to take anything on faith.

There are cheaper tax preparers.
There are, and in some situations they are enough.

If you have a single W-2, take the standard deduction and have no connection outside the country, you do not need us. In that situation we will tell you so.

The difference shows up in two places: in the year something goes wrong, and wherever there is a cross-border element. A CPA has representation rights before the IRS; an unlicensed preparer cannot speak for you in an examination.

Leaving my current accountant is a hassle.
A little, yes. But less than you think.

What we need is short: the last two years of returns and your accounting file if you have one. It usually takes a few days.

You do not have to tell your current accountant anything before you decide. Talk to us first, then look at whether we are right for you.

If your hesitation is not on this list, raise it in the first conversation. If the answer is "I don't know", we will say that too.

The last step

Talking early costs nothing. Leaving it late does.

A conversation before the year closes can change what you pay in April. Held in January, the same conversation is only a diagnosis.

If a report was missed the position is clearer still: the voluntary disclosure programs can reduce penalties substantially and sometimes remove them altogether. The single condition is coming forward before the IRS contacts you. The moment an examination opens, that door closes.

In both cases the deciding factor is the same one: timing.

Free, about half an hour, and nothing follows from it — if your situation is not a fit for us, we will say that plainly too.
